FAQs

Where do sessions take place?

I see clients at my West County office. I also offer Zoom sessions.

Who is an ideal client?

My ideal clients have already started their self-awareness journey and are committed to continuing their inner work. They have experience with honest self-reflection and are motivated to invest in their physical, mental, and emotional health. Ideal clients are willing and able to practice open-mindedness, boundaries, curiosity, and self-compassion.

What happens in a session?

In short, it’s variable, suited to the client and what they’re currently processing as well as the overall themes of their journey.

Sessions are a blend of counseling, coaching, shamanic practices, and yogic practices. The overall purpose is for my clients to have a safe, nonjudgemental space to open up, practice vulnerability, and get in touch with and learn to love deeper parts of themselves while in an open, honest, vulnerable relationship with another human being. We almost always start by sharing a hot beverage and talking- typically the client mostly talks and I mostly listen. I'm also happy to share my personal experience, to the extent that the client desires and that is supportive of the client.

We explore the client's psyche to clarify what blocks prevent them from experiencing more of what they want and living fully self-expressed. Over time, I introduce tools to help clients move through these blocks. Some tools are mental, some emotional, and some focus on the body. We might practice eye gazing for some minutes in silence while holding hands. We might examine thought and speech patterns to identify limiting beliefs and then work to reframe and ‘reprogram’ these patterns. We might dance, move, and be silly to help get out of the head. We might share intentional hugs, hold the other or be held by the other, and hold hands to help regulate the nervous system. All touch is conscious - meaning, we talk about it first and it’s consensual. No touch is mandatory and respecting the boundaries of my clients’ relationships (when applicable) is a high priority.

The flow is very subjective and largely dependent on what the client is working on/processing.

Do you offer massage?

No, I don’t offer massages to clients. While I have training and experience in massage, and my knowledge of the body supports what I bring to the table, there is no massage in my sessions.

Do you allow or offer nudity or sexual activity in sessions?

No, neither nudity nor sexual activity is allowed in my sessions. Sexuality is a welcome topic of conversation if relevant to the coaching relationship, and some breathwork and energy work practices may stimulate sexual arousal- as is the potential for breathwork and bodywork practices generally- but I do not offer sensual or sexual services of any kind.

We had a consult. I’m interested and curious but I don’t know yet if I want to schedule a session. How can I proceed?

I’m usually offering at least one live community resource. This will give you a deeper feel for me and support your self-actualization. Right now I’m offering Rosey’s Reading Room. You can learn more on the ‘Community’ page and email me to join.

The Naturally Rosey Podcast is available on Substack, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts and you can read my articles on Substack @naturallyrosey. These resources will also give you insight into me and my growth process and can support you on your journey. You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Substack to keep up with my content and (a few layers of) my personal life.

I have more questions; where can I ask them?

Email rose@naturallyrosey.me or submit a contact form with any questions. I will (typically) respond within 48 hours. The 45-minute Zoom consult- required before scheduling a session- is also a great time to ask questions.
